Multi-Agent Coordination for Ocean Monitoring

Amount Awarded: $25,000

This project will develop planning and control algorithms for multi-agent systems and apply them to environmental monitoring of the oceans. Building on the stong partnership between UC Berkeley and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), it will involve graduate and postdoctoral researchers from both institutions to translate core ideas from control theory, formal methods, machine learning, and game theory into algorithms that advance ocean monitoring technology. The project will support shared U.S.--Norway interests, while also enhancing the cross-cultural experiences and professional networks of the researchers.
