Computer Science curricula such as data mining, and data science integrate computational thinking with concepts from statistics and Artificial Intelligence and require critical thinking skills to apply to real-world scenarios. This challenging nascent interdisciplinary area, in relation to educational data science and learning engineering, is quickly becoming the new "software developer" career track. To provide pathways to this track that are effective and equitable, we will work on developing an open and adaptive computer science with a focus on data science material, leveraging an open-source and open-license lightweight tutoring platform developed within the consortium of the University of Bergen from Norway and the University of California Berkeley. The resultant material can be easily integrated into any high-school or entry-level college data course classes by way of a single link or use of Learning Technologies Interoperability, should the teachers want to integrate mastery information into a learning management system. The tool will also aim at providing formative feedback that will help the students to stay on the right track. Besides the main developed unit, the other objectives of IntelliFeedback are (i) to carry out an empirical experiment, including pilot studies, between the two involved partners from the University of California Berkeley and the University of Bergen, (ii) to enrich the collaboration and empower the involved staff from both universities to support students and teachers within the theme of formative feedback (iii) share expertise within the field of data sciences and computers science from both partners and (iv)investigate further research opportunities.
